Mountain biking and hiking

Barkeater Trails Alliance (BETA) has completed construction of 5.5 miles of free mountain bike trail (signage to come in 2013). Walkers and hikers also welcome in non-snow season. Here are current bike trails:

Cross-country ski or snowshoe

Whether you ski to the top on ungroomed backcountry-style trails and fly down a winding 440 feet of vertical drop, or if you prefer skate-skiing or night skiing on groomed trails, Dewey Mountain offers variety, including beginner loops.

Snowshoers climb to the top on East Side trail and enjoy views of Saranac Chain of Lakes before descending West Side trail. 

There are ~ 13 km of ski trail, 4 km snowshoe. Lower trails lighted at night.
